Angle Orange developed an incentive campaign to reward sales staff for promoting and selling the Shell Helix range to shoppers, leveraging product knowledge we shared with them and the supplied promotion material. What made this approach unique was the fact that we challenged the staff to build their own creative displays which would be judged on a monthly basis against a set of requirements. We also would make regular mystery shopper visits to the stores to issue on the spot rewards for correctly recommending the Helix product range to our mystery shoppers.
Sales and brand awareness increased amongst the participating retailers and targeted shoppers. Store managers and sales staff were successfully made an intramural part of the Helix promotion. At the end of the Campaign a winning store was chosen for their efforts and was treated to a day of fun at the races ending with an grand awards and recognition ceremony with the then Shell GM.
